Testing - Public Health Dorset

Free testing for coronavirus (COVID-19) from the NHS is no longer available for most people in England.

If you still want to get tested and you're not eligible for a free NHS test, you must pay for a COVID-19 test yourself. You can get tests from private providers.

If you think you might have COVID-19 or you have symptoms of a respiratory infection, you should stay at home and avoid contact with other people until you feel better.

Groups eligible for free testing

A small number of groups remain eligible for free COVID-19 testing. This includes people with a health condition which means they are eligible for specific COVID-19 treatments and some people who work for the NHS or in social care.

Find out which groups are eligible and how they can get tests.
