Support for Inter‑Parental Communication (SIPCo) project
A Project to Improve Parental Relationships
Are you finding it difficult to get on with your partner or ex-partner?
Are you finding that communication between you is often leading to stress? Have you stopped talking altogether due to the difficulty in communicating? If so, then SIPCO can help.
If you have a child and are living in the Dorset Council area,
then you may be suitable for a free ten-week programme designed to improve communication between partners and households. We provide access to in-person and virtual resources that have been shown to improve co-parenting, improve relationship quality, and decrease levels of emotional hostility.
In the first phase of the SIPCO programme,
91% of parents reported an improvement in their co-parenting relationship. The second phase of the programme aims to build on this success. Please see the below videos for information about the impact of our first phase.
If you are interested in taking part in this programme,
then contact us at relationshipsmatter@dorsetcouncil.gov.uk or visit your local family hub. Please note, your family does not need to be involved with children's services to take part in any of our programmes.
