Joint Strategic Needs Assessment
Help shape sexual health services in Dorset
Public health provides and commissions sexual health services. We want to hear about your experiences and ideas. Complete our confidential survey by midnight on 15 February 2026 to help us improve and ensure support is accessible for everyone.
Dorset’s JSNA is being used to support Dorset Council’s Health and Wellbeing Board to identify key health and wellbeing issues and develop their Health and Wellbeing strategy. We also collaborate with Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council to understand health and wellbeing needs across the county of Dorset.
What is the JSNA?
A JSNA identifies the main health and wellbeing challenges in our area. Our assessments are based on routine data, insights from local communities, and input from the health and care workforce. We use a systems thinking approach to understand how different factors like housing, environment, employment and services are connected and influence people’s health and wellbeing.
