Our Extended Access membership lets you use libraries from 8am to 8pm, Monday to Saturday, beyond our staffed hours.
The participating libraries are:
Soon, Sherborne Library and Gillingham Library will also offer Extended Access.
During Extended Access hours, you will be able to:
- borrow, return and renew library items using self-service kiosks
- use a free library computer or free library Wi-Fi
- print documents
- use study spaces
- meet other friends who have an Extended Access membership
- access our online resource such as our ebooks, audiobooks and e-magazines
You will not be able to:
- access the library toilets
- have access to support from staff with enquiries, or help with computers, kiosks or printers
- make changes to your library membership details
- use meeting rooms, unless you have pre-booked
- hire DVDs
To be eligible, you will need to:
- be a full library member
- complete our induction course online or in person
- be aged 16 or over (you can attend with a parent or guardian if they register for Extended Access membership and you are under 16 years of age)
If you need to bring a carer with you, they will also need to register for Extended Access and complete the induction.
