The Ironman event takes place this Sunday 14 September in Dorchester
and Weymouth. As some roads and car parks will close there will be
delays, please check
your route before travelling. Weymouth Recycling Centre will not
be open and access to Dorchester Recycling Centre will be disrupted.
We were allocated just over £6 million via the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) for use within the Dorset Council county area (excludes BCP area), with funds available until March 2025.
We have developed Investment Plans (IPs) for the UKSPF and the Rural England Prosperity Fund (REPF). The UKSPF IPs were developed through online consultation with MPs and key organisations. They outline how the funding will be used to target local priorities or in pursuit of specific, measurable goals.
Funds totalling £4.4 million will support the investment priorities of:
communities and place
supporting local business
people and skills
Projects are funded or part funded by the UK government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.

The UK Shared Prosperity Fund is a central pillar of the UK government’s Levelling Up agenda and provides £2.6 billion of funding for local investment by March 2025.
