As part of our ongoing traffic signal refurbishment programme we are refurbishing the pedestrian crossing on Preston Road, Weymouth, near Sutton Road.
The obsolete and aging equipment is being replaced and the crossing will be brought up to current standards and latest technology.
We are also widening the footway on the south side of the crossing to improve access in this busy area.

Work will start on Monday 13 April and take four weeks to complete. Temporary two-way traffic signals will be in use during the work. A temporary pedestrian crossing will also be in place.
