Christchurch locality profile

Christchurch locality covers a diverse population including  rural communities such as Burton and Hurn and more urban neighbourhoods such as Fairmile, Purewell and town centre areas. The locality benefits from levels of child poverty lower than the England average and low levels of older people living in deprivation. Levels of income deprivation across the locality are generally lower than the England average, with the exception of the Somerford & Purewell North area which is amongst the 10% most income deprived areas in Dorset.
